IDCheck to protect you at Shared Branch Locations

KEMBA proudly participates in the Shared Branching network, which lets our members perform transactions at other participating credit unions. We also welcome guest members from other credit unions to transact at KEMBA. CO-OP Shared Branching now offers IDCheck, a new security feature that makes your banking experience safer and more convenient.

what is IDCheck?

Starting May 1, 2025, all Shared Branch locations will use IDCheck. As a guest member, you may need to complete IDCheck verification before you can transact on your account. Just scan a QR code with your phone, then verify your identity with a selfie and valid ID. This added security protects your account and helps prevent fraud.

how idcheck works

Bring your smartphone and government issue ID when you visit a Shared Branch. Here’s what to do:

  1. Scan the QR code displayed in the branch, to visit https://verify.coop.org.
  2. Enter your credit union name, account number, and the last four digits of your SSN.
  3. Scan your ID and take a selfie for verification.
  4. Receive a 6-digit access code on your phone.
  5. Show the code to the teller to complete your transaction.

On future visits, the process becomes even faster. With a recognized device, just scan the QR code, enter your details, and get your access code instantly if your ID is valid and you use the same device.

why idcheck is necessary

IDCheck confirms your identity at any Shared Branch location, reduces fraud, and keeps transactions quick and efficient. This extra step adds protection without adding hassle—just scan, verify, and bank with confidence.
